I’m excited to share Episode 27, inspired by an unexpected encounter with nature.
On a cold morning, I noticed what looked like smoke rising from an enormous pile of mulch. Naturally, curiosity drew me closer. Something about the experience stirred memories of growing up in Jamaica.
Later, a colleague explained that what I’d witnessed was likely composting.
Composting! Who knew decomposing material could be so fascinating?
But the experience raised a deeper question:
How do we distinguish the healthy heat of transformation from a hidden fire waiting to happen?
Throughout my leadership career, I’ve learned that similar organizational pressures can have very different causes.
What appears to be resistance may be wisdom we haven’t heard. What looks like progress may conceal emerging risks. And sometimes, our greatest challenge is recognizing how our own assumptions shape what we see.
The danger isn’t simply misunderstanding a situation. It’s making decisions based on interpretations we haven’t examined.
In this episode, I explore the relationship between curiosity, executive discernment, and measurable results. I also share a practical AI-assisted exercise to help leaders assess their 2026 strategic commitments.
